Introduction

The following terms and conditions apply to training courses conducted by RPAS Equip Pty Ltd, who reserves the right to periodically review and update these terms and conditions, when required.

Privacy

RPAS equip is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers.

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, correspondence, by telephone, email, via this website, and from third parties.

We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.

You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by emailing us at info@rpasequip.com.au. When we collect Personal Information, we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record, or health information.

Sensitive information will be used by us only:

•           For the primary purpose for which it was obtained

•           For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose

•           With your consent; or where required or authorised by law.

Third Parties

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you.

We may at our discretion use other third parties to provide essential services on our site or for our business processes. We may share your details as necessary for the third party to provide that service.

These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose. We do not share any information with third parties for any unknown or unrelated uses.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Your Personal Information may be disclosed in several circumstances including the following:

•           Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and

•           Where required or authorised by law.

Security of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

Access to your Personal Information

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.

RPAS equip will not charge any fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information. To protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information

It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

Links on the RPAS equip Pty Ltd site to external entities are not covered within this policy. The terms and conditions set out in this privacy statement only cover the domain name of rpasequip.com.au

Privacy Policy Complaints and Enquiries

If you have any queries or complaints about our Privacy Policy, please contact us.

Booking

Booking any of our training courses can be done by either using the form on the RPAS Equip website, by emailing us at info@rpasequip.com.au or requesting training via a telephone call to one of our staff.

Making payment for the course constitutes acceptance of RPAS Equips’ terms and conditions. Once a reservation has been made and paid for, an electronic link for all required course documentation is forwarded to the client.

Payment

  1. Course fees must be paid at the time of booking. Corporate customers can arrange for corporate account requirements prior to enrolling candidates. If any discount must be negotiated and applied at the time of booking.
  2. VISA and Master credit cards as well as debit cards are accepted.
  3. Inaccurate card details may lead to a delay in processing of the card for payment. The link to the online documentation for the course will only be forwarded once the relevant fees have been cleared by the bank.
  4. GST is charged at the applicable rate for the service or item purchased.

Refunds – Training

Course fees are not refundable once the link to the training package has been sent to the client

Refunds will be offered only in extenuating circumstances such as: illness, travel restrictions.

Once training has been booked and paid, it can be transferred to another date free of charge, if you give us at least 2 weeks notification. Otherwise a booking fee of 20% may apply.

Additional Training, Exam Resits

Our practical class includes practical flying experience. If you require more time to gain competency, additional practical time will be scheduled free of charge at the convenience of RPAS equip (eg. during an existing Practical course). RPAS equip does not guarantee availability for free of charge time. Additional fees may be paid to guarantee training dates.

If you must re-sit an exam, you may re-sit on another scheduled exam day, free of charge, up to 1 re-sit. Additional fees may be charged to guarantee an exam date.

Prices, discounts and GST

  1. RPAS Equip reserves the right to change listed prices without notice.
  2. Corporate client rates are possible and are granted at the sole discretion of RPAS Equip Pty Ltd management.

Trainers

RPAS Equip shall provide trainers approved by the Chief Remote Pilot to present the theory and/or practical training course(s).

Technology

RPAS Equip will endeavour to ensure but does not guarantee that the online facilities will always be available or be uninterrupted, or that that such service is secure or free from errors and omissions.

Client Behaviour

RPAS Equip trainers reserve the right to remove any candidate from a training course when behaviour is deemed unacceptable/inappropriate. If a client is removed from any training session, there will be no reimbursement of any costs and RPAS Equip reserves the right to refuse the candidate entry on any future course(s).

Intellectual property rights

All RPAS Equips’ intellectual property, course documentation and materials, whether found on any form of social media, email, website or elsewhere, remain the property of RPAS Equip and are not to be copied or used for anything other than personal use. No content may be copied in whole or in part, uploaded, posted, reproduced, displayed or linked to in any way. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of RPAS Equips’ intellectual property rights.
